Hey does anybody know, if there is any soft or hardware solution for RAID1 or 5 available for Ultrix V4.4 on DECstation 5000/240. The customer has an application running and no reason to migrate to digitalUNIX. Any help will be appreciate Thanks and regards Gernot Meyer Digital Berlin, Germany [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

The ULTRIX Shadowing driver does RAID-1. The ULTRIX RAID-5 driver died ages ago. None of the usual hardware RAID subsystems are supported by ULTRIX. They might work, but this would be complicated by the fact that support for SCSI logical units is less than adequate. With something like the HSZ40 you'd be limited to four array devices. | |||||
