| John,
I'm just a beginner at this fitness stuff so I read everything I
can before I take it from the shelf and put it in my body. Mostly, read the
"ingredients" list of each product. You will probably find, like I did,
that most of them have the same active ingredients and maybe slightly
different fillers and flavor enhancers.
The quantity you consume per day is almost identical between brand
names of products to do this or that and the dosage (milligrams of each
ingredient) varies only slightly. As with any consumer product like this,
you are wise to investigate first. Asking questions, developing the ability
to tell BS from fact will get you a long way toward your goal, not to
mention keeping some of your hard earned $$$ in your pocket rather than
someone else's. :)
I've tried a lot of the "weight gainers" (I'm termially slim. 40
yrs old and STILL have my highschool waistline of 30" and a whapping
#150) and what I've found helps me the most is eating regularly and
well. Watching my intake of junk and fats, concentrating on balancing
the nutrients in my diet along with a regular regimine of lifting has
done more for me than the powders and pills. For me, they just didn't
work, so I'm saving @ $27/$30 a month.
What ever you choose to do or use, be careful
Dave
