704.0. "FDDI modelling data for PEA0" by NZOV02::DUDSON () Tue May 20 1997 23:08
Hi,
I'm doing a study of an Alpha4100 and Alpha2100 using an FDDI
ring to an HS221 FDDI array controller.
The .cpd files were collected for all four systems (two Alpha1000
on the HS221) using DECPS V2.2-51.
When I intergrate the data the PEA0 device shows up as unknown,
using ECP040 (april97) kit,and asks for an ethernet device.
The Alpha4100 and Alpha2100 both have a DEFPA for the FDDI and
DE435 for the ethernet.
If I change the unknown PEA0 for the DE435 the NI device on the
configuration saturates as we are pulling some 4000Kbyte/sec
through the FDDI to the disks.
Is there a way to change the PEA0 device to a DEFPA or do I
have to tweak the .merg files for the four machines.
(if I have to tweak the .merg files, what is the format of
the line?)
Thanks in advance, Paul
