697.0. "V4.0A FDDI Cluster woes" by DYPSS1::SCHAFER (Kalhun!) Fri Apr 25 1997 14:10
ECP V4.0A-40 Planner, -32 Integrator, VMS
I'm trying to model a 3-node 8200 FDDI cluster w/MTI drives. If I pull
in one file at a time (READ DATA), the thing will pop up a box saying
it can't figure out two adapter types - one "Ethernet" (nee FDDI) and
one SCSI (the internal SCSI bus!). If I try to read in multiple files
at a time, it still doesn't know what's going on but doesn't bother to
pop up any dialog boxes.
Interestingly, the adapter type (DEFPA, of which there are two) is not
known to the modeler, nor does the modeler seem to care about the two
paths. I have NO idea what to do with this. Any clues?

| to clarify .0, the modeler is not recognizing the FDDI ring
as FDDI, but is identifying it as Ethernet.
