694.0. "ECP405 Data Collector install problem" by ZPOVC::RAJGOPAL () Wed Apr 16 1997 04:16
I am trying to install the ECP405 in my DEC3000 server running
Digital UNIX 4.0b. I pulled the tar file ECP040.tar file from
the location cpdev.zko.dec.com. I am having probems installing
the data collector subset. The problem is as mentioned below,
Earlier I used the following command to install the subsets,
#/usr/sbin/setld -l ECP405
This installed all the subsets like ECPBASE405, ECPDC405, ECPPLAN405
ECPINTE405. Later aciidentally, I deleted the directory ECP405
that was created under /usr/opt which has files like snapshot ...
Now when I try to reinstall the software, in the install options list,
the Data Collector subset does not appear at all. If I try to
install it using setld command eg.
#/usr/sbin/setld -l /ECP405/ECPDC405
it says,
setld:device /ECP405/ECPDC405 not supported for installations.
setld: cannot initialise /ECP405/ECPDC405
PLease advise how to go about fixing this problem? I have made
sure that all the relevant OS subsets are installed in the system.
Regards,
Raj.
