| There are a number of notes in here on this topic. In the
US, it was called 'Section 1706'. So, do a "dir/tit=1706"
and you'll see a bunch of notes about this.

| Technical Aid is a company htta has been doing business in the
contracting market for many years. They have several divisions. I have
worked as a contractor for their MicroTemps division. I never had any
problems with them. Paychecks were always on time, and they were very
good about trying to contact contractors who may have forgotten to call
in their hours.

That's interesting to know - we were told that Tech Aid were already in
place in the US, acting as a sort of intermediary between agencies
and Digital. Is it possible that they are working in this way and
you don't know about it? (Seems unlikely)
I suppose it's also possible that it has only been applied to a subset
of contractors.

Just got some more information about Tech Aid's US activities - apparently
they operate a grup called THURO in the US, where they oversee and
administer more than 5000 contractors.
Does this ring a bell with anyone?
Thanks,
Carol.

| As far as I know, TECHAID is just one of several Preferred Agencies.
