    Hi,
    
    My customer has a standalone Alpha and has just upgraded it to
    PATHWORKS for OpenVMS 5.0E eco1.
    
    After rebooting the system he noticed that none of his clients were
    having their licenses validated. 
    He then tried to initiate pwrk$license_manager only to find the
    following error;
    
    'There is no server available to start a session...'
    'Check to make sure....'
    
    Both the license_s and license_r were in HIB state and killing then off
    and restarting them generated new process id's.
    He then tried to create a new license server state file but this did
    not make nay difference.
    There was no error information in any of the logs in pwrk$lmlogs or
    pwrk$logs.
    As a last resort we restored PATHWORKS v5.0D and the issuing of
    licenses commenced.
     
    
    Any suggestion ?
