4280.0. "PW50D-eco3 LMDMN in LEF state, PCOMS errors" by UTRTSC::HARLE () Fri May 02 1997 05:22
PW/VMS 430D, transports Netbeui, TCPIP.
Server stops listening to client broadcasts,
(Netbeui and UDP). New connections to shares
by TCPIP still work, due to presence of WINS
server. All existing connections remain active.
PWRK$LMDMN is in LEF state, and after a while,
the PWRK$LMSRV logfile reports PCOMS error:
number of free message buffers = 0.
The alerter service has already been disabled.
None of the Pathworks processes has aborted.
Q1: Is there a patch, an IPMT or workaround ?
Q2: for my understanding: is PWRK$LMDMN the
process that is supposed to read or write the
message buffers ?

That's easy for you to say. Tell me, what is the
IPMT/CLD number in which the problem was originally
described ?
Is PWRK$LMDMN the process that is supposed to read
the PCOMS message buffers ?
