Isn't there still a problem showing the correct icons when creating shortcuts pointing to a PW 5.0 share ? We have a customer which is running 5.0E and he can't get his icons to show proberly. It isn't looking very good towards the users, when installing programs to run from the server. Eg. MS Office 95/97 If there is a work around this, please provide it.. Claus,
My understanding is it's a timing/performance issue. If Win95 thinks
the server is too slow, it wont display the icon info (which I believe
is stored in the image).
What type of hardware is the server running on?
