4233.0. "PWMON LMSRV_SMB_ACTIVE" by VMSNET::MSTEWART (Thats it! You win the $64 question!) Thu Mar 27 1997 11:01

    Question on something a customer sees in PWMON (I know unsupported).
    On the LMSRV_SMB_ACTIVE line - how can ACTIVE WAITERS be 64000 when
    PEAK WAITERS says 75?

    Thanks,

    .0> On the LMSRV_SMB_ACTIVE line - how can [CURRENT] WAITERS be 64000 when
    .0> PEAK WAITERS says 75?

    The incorrect display is probably a bug (if it's just a string
    manipulation bug, the actual value may be 65). I have fixed a couple
    of bugs recently (in other areas), but haven't seen anything like this
    before.

    Did the customer stop and restart PWMON after seeing this odd count?
    If so, I'm assuming that it still reported 64000 CURRENT WAITERS?

    So long as PWMON is synchronized with the LMMCP process (ie. it waits
    for it before starting and goes away when the LMMCP exits), the numbers
    _should_ be correct. If the LMMCP synchronization is being overridden,
    there are circumstances which can cause some CURRENT WAITERS counts
    to be off (but usually not by ~1000x).

    Sorry I don't have a better answer.
