Weird one ?

Customer has Alpha 1000 with VMS 6.2. PW 5.0E already installed.

I ran PWRK$CONFIG and then autogenned as required.

System comes up OK.

I then changed it to be a PDC (new domain name). Netlogon starts OK and the 
admin program shows it as a PDC. Rebooted whole system.

But I cannot get it to validate any users. 

From VMS (same machine):

NET LOGON ADMIN password

You are logged on as standalone
No servers on the network. May be a loose cable (etc etc).

Now, they do have network problems (bad packets, congestion etc) but will 
this cause the above problem ?

any clues ?
