    Hi,
    
    I have a very urgent trouble to solve:
    
    the environment was:
    
    1) AS1000 OpenVMS v6.1-1H2 with PW 5.0C - PDC
    2) VAX OpenVMS v6.1 with PW 5.0C - BDC
    3) Digital UNIX v3.2 with PW 5.0C - BDC
    
    in this case, I was able to make connection from server-to-server
    in all kind of manner, that is:
    
    from the AS1000 to Digital UNIX and viceversa:
    
    $ net admin \\unix_server_name unix_server_admin_passw /command ....
    
    from the VAX to Digital UNIX and viceversa:
    
    ...same command...
    
    Then, I've upgraded to 5.0E (for better WIN95 access to the servers),
    but I can't no more doing the above commands.
    
    That is, the above commands work fine from UNIX to OpenVMS, but NOT
    viceversa!
    
    So, from the PDC (Alpha OVMS) I can't manage the UNIX BDC!
    
    All password are allined, of course, and the UAS are synchronized as
    well.
    
    When I release the above commands from Alpha/OVMS to UNIX and from
    VAX/VMS to UNIX, I receive:
    
    Error 71: the network request was not accepted.
    
    Then on the UNIX machine, I've done:
    
    # net share admin$ /unlimited
    
    Now the Error 71 is turned to:
    
    Error 1: Incorrect Function.
    
    My answer: is there any incompatibility between the 5.0E (OpenVMS
    version) and the 5.0C (UNIX version) of PATHWORKS product?
    
    Have I to upgrade to a more recent version of PW on UNIX machine? (it
    is another AS1000).
    
    What version I need?
    
    It's saturday, and I am in troubles with this!
    
    Please, help me to solve correctly this hard problem (for me).

    There was a problem starting in PW/VMS 5.0d, where the VMS server sent
    multiple dialects to the Unix server.  The PW/Unix server was selecting a 
    client dialect. 
    
    Are there any errors in the pwlicreg.log file?
    This was fixed in 5.0G ECO1.  The current SSB kit this customer should
    use is 5.0G ECO2.
