Hi there -
is there a solution for the following problem:
We have an NT 4.0 PDC. We also have a VMS 6.2 PathWorks 5.0E BDC. We want to
put all user profiles in domain to the users logon share into subdir on VMS.
This is of course done in the PDC's account database under 'Profile'.
What we get is:
All workstations try to put the profiles into mentioned directory, but stalls
with zero-block open files (to be seen in ADMIN -> OPEN FILES under VMS PW)
And: All workstations don't finish and are dead after this (no taskmanager
any more !).
The same thing runs fine on NT 4.0 PDC's.
BTW: We also tried PathWorks 5.0D resulting in 35-block open files -yeah! and
the same dead station.
If we copy all the profile files manually into mentioned subdirs, everything
is
o.k. - we only could not test if the local and remote profiles synchronized
...

Hello !! Anyone at all have any ideas ?? Supported ?? Not Supported ?? We have a case with the samae problem as in .0 I can think of a couple of reasons that this would not work. International characters as always, space in file names. And so on. Anyone ?? Per Torlind / PATHWORKS support | |||||
