4143.0. "VMS Programming Library from IPX/SPX messages ?" by ATZIS1::WINTERSPERGE () Tue Feb 04 1997 05:04
Hello !
I received a 'strange' question of a customer:
He has written a Client Server application where some Novell Servers
communicate via IPX/SPX messages.
He now asked if by using the IPX/SPX stack of PATHWORKS for VMS it
would be possible to integrate a VMS machine into his application.
So I'm asking if there is some kind of SDK kit available for PATHWORKS
for VMS where he can write some C programs under VMS sending and
receiving the same messages as his Novell servers do.
Any pointers, documents, SPDs would be welcome !
Regards
Thomas Wintersperger, Austria
PS: Don't ask me why they didn't use TCP/IP - to them Client Server
seems not to mean Open Systems :-)

| There is not public interface available to the IPX/SPX stack. If you need
further closure on this contact the PATHWORKS (NetWare) for OpenVMS product
manager. His name is John Gorczyca and he can be reachead at DTN 226-6274.
