4130.0. "Net error LMU6041" by BARNA::DSMAIL () Tue Jan 28 1997 12:05

    Hello !

    Please could you help me on the following issue :
    One of our customers is getting the error on his pathworks log
      LMU6041: Cannot make the lmx service mailslot: \MAILSOLT\NET\NETLOGON
    This only appears in one member of a Pathworks cluster (ver 5.0deco3)
    I can`t find any reference to this message but note 3688 which has no
    answer.
    Could you explain what it means

    					Thanks in advance
                                                            Josep

    HI Jesper,

    there can be several reasons for this error.

    It can be that:

    	- the dmn can't allocate memory.
    	  When this happens then the process will die probably.

    	- Can't do a PCOMS_create (internal to internal)
    	  Do you've pcoms errros in the log ?

    	- Some stuff in the mailslot is invalid.

    	- We're running out of mailslot entries. (Can have a max of 20)
    	  However this parameter can/t be set in the lanman.ini.

    	So how often does this happen ? Is this seen often. Are there any
    	related errors in the log files?

    	Its in the pwrk$lmdmn process log file, you did not mention it.
    When the netlogon mailsot can't be created then the netlogon service
    will not be started by that daemon process. When its a inactive daemon
    that ok, when it is the active daemon in the cluster then the cluster
    won't serve the netlogon service.

    Look for detailed information of the daemon role in the cluster in the
    UTRTSC::PW_TOOLS notesfile.

    	Rob.
