VMScluster of a VAX and AXP. Customer indicates he has vms app that
runs on VAX and creates new file every 30 seconds. Client is connected
to share directory thru AXP and runs app that reads the file every 30
seconds (with a 5 second backoff if the file is locked).
The VMS app creates a new file version each time, however the client
continues to read version 1 only; it doesn't see newer versions.
Is this behavior expected and can it be corrected by one or both of the
pwrk.ini entries:
[ods2]
dir_cache_enable=0
fid_cache_sync=0

Nevermind, (1) I was given bad info and (2) the question I asked is
covered in the release notes (5.3.2 New Versions of OpenVMS Files Are
Not Recognized by the PATHWORKS File Server).
I'll be back Monday with the real problem...
