4114.3Problem only from OS/2.STKAI1::BLUNDBERGIt's the monster!!!Fri Jan 31 1997 04:5010
It seems like the problem appears when doing RECLAIM from an OS/2
client, it works problemfree from a Windows NT client.

The PWRK$LMSRV_node.LOG file does not show any errormessages when the
problem occurs.
I've been able to create a LMSRV-xxxx.TRACE file as well but have so far
not found anything interesting...but it's a lot of information in it and
I'll keep on looking hoping to find something useful.

4114.5PUTERROR and nb_recvlist error!STKAI1::BLUNDBERGIt's the monster!!!Fri Jan 31 1997 05:42187
Found something interesting in the LMSRV-202026E2.TRACE file, it looks
like the session from the client SMIRRE is disconnected and then re-
established again for some reason, does anybody know what this might mean.

I've seen a fix regarding OS/2 and the LICENSE_REGISTRAR in the
releasenotes of V5.0E, could this have anything to do with this problem?

A part of the tracefile is posted below.

Regards

The puterror (2,6) indicates "invalid network name in tree connect"
according to the smb book I have. Is \\KONRAD\CC1 a valid share with
a valid path?

4114.7Seems to be solved :-)STKAI1::BLUNDBERGIt's the monster!!!Tue Feb 04 1997 04:5522
Thanks for your reply Paul, it seems like we have found out what caused
the problem.

The customer had stopped the share \\KONRAD\CC1 where the CC:mail post-
office was located, he did this since the RECLAIM operation needed to
access it exclusively.

The actual RECLAIM operation was obviously performed to a temporary share
called \\KONRAD\CCTEMP, I don't really have an explination to this I
got it from the customer.

The OS/2 CC:mail client seems to be very "eager" to access the share
\\KONRAD\CC1 anyway and this is where it goes wrong.

Sooo...it seems like the problem was on the OS/2 client side and NOT on
the Pathworks V5 server side.
The customer is now doing RECLAIM from an NT client instead and it
works fine.

Thanks again for your help, I really appriciate it :-)
