5855.0. "AS500-300: DECW$PRINTSCREEN ACCCVIO @PC 33464 " by DAGWST::CHINN (Gil Chinn, DTN 521-4338) Fri May 23 1997 20:22

    Hi, Alpha VMS V7.1, AS500-300, 128MB, EV5 (21164), PAL 1.18, Console
    Ver V6.3-11, GYA: ZLX2-E (TGA2)

DECW$PRINTSCREEN generates an access violation (direct invocation or
thru the pulldown menu) with the latest CSCPAT MOTIFU4012 applied
irregardless of what print options are selected. The customer is doing
a print portion of the screen (bounding box size is irrevelant).

Does anyone have any insight on the caused?

    thanks,
    gil

You should enter an IPMT case to report this problem.

Is this on a multi-headed system? I found a problem recently where Print
Screen accvioed when I told it that I wanted to print a portion of screen
0, for example, and then clicked the mouse in screen 1. I'm not sure
whether it matches the footprint of the register dump that you posted.

RE .1 thanks Bob. no, its a single headed workstation using CDE. Its
on all workstations with identical configurations.

How does one log an IPMT?

    thanks again

I haven't done it, so I couldn't say. If you're working at a support
center ask your project leader.
