Hi all,
there seems to be a problem with the New DeskTop login procedure.
In fact if there are only " " (blanks) in the username field,
no password is asked, the screen changes color but the login box
doesn't appear again.
A customer of mine doesn't like this behaviour a lot, he has to restart
Decwindows every time it occurs.
I reproduced this problem on :
OpenVMS Alpha 6.2-1h3 and 7.0 with Decwindows Motif 1.2-4 (patched
ALPMOTFALPMOTF01_U4012).
Have I to open an official case?

This is indeed a fault and I have not seen it reported before.
Please raise an IPMT case, I presume it is only level 3 unless there
is some special reason your customer is entering blank passwords
frequently.
