Conference bulova::decwindows

Hi

Customer is running OpenVMS VAX 6.2 with DECwindows Motif 1.2-4,
UCX 4.1 ECO1. When he run the applications, after certain time, the 
session just hang. 

Any suggestions or pointers are welcome.

What state are DECwindows processes in when the system hangs?  If
processes are in MUTEX state, for example, it might mean that the user's
BYTLM or TQELM quota needs to be increased.  If a lot of processes are
swapped out, especially if processes are in COMO state, the page file may
be too small.

Is the DECW$SERVER_0 process still running?  I don't see an accvio message
in the server log file that you posted, so this doesn't look like a server
crash.

Can the customer SET HOST to the system?  If not it could be a network
problem or a general system hang, not just a DECwindows problem.

Maybe one of the applications has grabbed the server.  In that case, the
system should free up after you stop the application process that has
done the grab.
