Hi folks,
        I need an information about keyboard setting in Motif 1.2-4.

A customer of mine works with an Alphastation 255, OpenVMS Alpha 6.2-1h3
and Motif 1.2-4; he must change his original keyboard LK47W-A2 (American
keyboard) with a new LK46W-AI (Italian style keyboard).
Clearly this operation isn't possible from menu changing the item
"OPTION_KEYBOARD", because there isn't the italian setting present.
The keyboard LK46W-AI is a "108 key LK201/LK401 style x OpenVMS keyboard",
so I've suggested to set the logical DECW$DEFAULT_KEYBOARD_MAP (in the
file DECW$PRIVATE_SERVER_SETUP.COM) to one of these possibilities:
(by the STARS article: [OpenVMS VAX V6.1/U&I] Chapter 9: Customizing 
 DECwindows Support Software):

- ITALIAN_LK201LI_DP
- ITALIAN_LK201LI_TW     >>>>> for LK201-(AI,LI,BI,MI)
- ITALIAN_LK401AI_DP
- ITALIAN_LK401AI_TW     >>>>> for LK401-(AI,LI,BI,MI)

These setting function correctly on another Alphastation working with
OpenVMS 6.2 and Motif 1.2-3, but using the old model of american keyboard
(LK201-AA), while don't function on the Alphastation 255.
I'ven't found anything about keyboard conversion setting for LK46W/LK47W.
How is it possible this setting?

Hi,
   finally we have solved our problem.

The customer tried to set, erroneously, the Italian keyboard from 
"Decterm Options" menu.
Using instead "Session Manager Options" he has found the choice
ITALIAN_LK401AI_DP; setting it and inserting this new definition in
the file DECW$PRIVATE_SERVER_SETUP.COM, all functions o.k.
