Hello, My alphastation 200 will not see my de205 network card. I have the card setup with the default setting (irq5) etc. I have run the arc setup nicaxp.exe from the floppy I got at http://www.service.digital.com:8031/ I boot to NT V4.0 and run winmsd and don't see the device or any device for that matter on IRQ5. I also can boot this machine with digital unix and see both network cards fine. Is there some step that I missed. Thanks Ray Glauner

re: CSC32::GLAUNER Ray, Did you load an Alpha NT driver for the DE205? I don't think the card uses the IRQ resource until the driver is actually loaded. Under i386, there is no DE205 driver bundled with the NT O.S. and I presume the situation is the same for Alpha NT, so you need to load drivers from that which is supplied by the NIC group. /Bill

Thanks Bill I put in the de 205 driver off or digital support page, it even had a program to put the device in the ARC, it still did not make a difference, I rebooted unix and the netcard is still in there so I know it is connected find any other ideas? Ray

Did you run the NT ECU? There is a separate ECU for UNIX/VMS and NT. tgc |
