Has anybody heard of an agreement between us and EMASS for the porting of their AMASS and DATAMGR s/w to DUNIX ? One of their distributors in Europe told me so. I would be interested in knowing. Is there an identified contact within Digital ? Has anybody dealt in any way with AMASS and can provide some light on this product especially positionning/comparison with our offerings i.e. Polycenter HSM or UNITREE ? Thanks for any help Francois

You might try contacting Greig Fields at dtn 339-5124. Last I heard, the COP group was investigating this for a customer. At the UNIX Expo trade show in Oct-96, I spoke with the EMASS New Business Development Director, Pete Koliopoulos about this possibility and he tells me that DIGITAL has at times in the past expressed interest, but the thing that usually stops us is the requirement to use their own file system. Perhpas they've found a way around this, or a customer willing to operated in that environment. -Craig Huber | |||||
