Hello, A customer of my is asking How to disable "SOURCE ROUTING" on Decnet protocol in Pathwork for Windows95. Source routing would be disabled in the Datalink layer, not DECnet... so there might be something in the documentation about it there. I'd be interested to know what "problem" is in the bridge.... Either source routing is needed or it isn't.... fixing the bridge is a far better thing to do than shutting down source routing. Thing WILL BREAK if you assume that the bridge will fix everything for you. Jeff | |||||

The problem is that the customer has installed a CISCO CATALIST 2600 a trasparent bridge, but after the this istallation the PC with Pathworks over Token Ring can't talk through the bridge. The engineer that installed it said that this is because the pc is using Source Routing that is not supported by Cisco 2600. We are looking also how to set the Cisco to support Source Routing.
