7383.0. "Slogin and WNT v4.0 Srvr" by QBUS::B_GASPER () Mon Apr 14 1997 08:20
Hi,
I have a customer that has the following problem with slogin. With
the pdc as a WNT v4.0 server, if he has the account setup as "must
change password on next login" he gets "LAN Manager login failed" on
the PC (windows v3.1 with PATHWORKS v6.0) and on the server he gets
"unexpected error occurred during logon" and "unkown user or bad
password." This is using the SLOGIN/NOPWLIST. If he does a straight
slogin or the account is not set to force password change it works
fine. The clients are using Netbuei and tcp/ip as transports and the
enhanced redirector. When doing the slogin without the /nopwlist he
gets prompted to change the password and all is well. Is this a known
issue, is there perhaps a workaround?
