Hello all, Customer has found a problem using netpass to a PATHWORKS V6 for Digital UNIX server. netpass reports LM password changed successfully, then... Server \\<servername> is an NT server, no UAF password required. Netpass is V6.0.002 which is the latest version I can find. PATHWORKS for Digital UNIX V6.1. Any ideas would be appreciated, Richard Walker. (Cross-posted in PWOSF)

Oops. Sounds like NetPass asks the server what it is and it returns 'NT'. There is an entry in LANMAN.INI on the server which tells the server what string to display (look in Appendix D of the sevrer admin guide). This may help (it may not). Alternatively, use my WinPass program which does the same thing under Windows (\\WELPCP\WINPASS) \\16.183.48.114\WINPASS Alan |
