Compatibility: PATHWORKS for DOS/Windows 4.2 and PATHWORKS 5.0E The SPD for PATHWORKS for OpenVMS V5.0E says that this product requires minimum version 6.0 of the PATHWORKS for DOS and Windows product. However it also says " _. The TCP/IP transport is included with the PATHWORKS V5 for DOS and Win- dows client. PATHWORKS for DOS V4.x clients operating in a TCP/IP environment require the PATHWORKS for DOS (TCP/IP) V2.0 software." This suggests that PATHWORKS for DOS/Windows V4.2 WILL WORK with PATHWORKS for OpenVMS 5.0E - but with limited functionality. Does anyone know if this configuration will work ? Has anyone tried it ? There was no PATHWORKS for DOS/Windows V4.2, there WAS v4.0, v4.0a, and V4.1. PATHWORKS clients will connect to PATHWORKS servers. V4.1 will connect into V5.0E.... however, unless you are using the Enhanced redirector, you will have LIMITED functionality. Jeff | |||||
