1077.0. "How to access AdvFS domains when booted from CD-ROM?" by UNIFIX::HARRIS (Juggling has its ups and downs) Fri Jun 06 1997 07:21
If I boot from a CD-ROM (a Read-Only device), how can I mount an AdvFS
domain that the CD-ROM doesn't know about?
For example, if my AdvFS root partition needed to be restored, and I
was booting off of the CD-ROM installation kit, how would I mount my
system's root partition so that I could do a vrestore?
This question was posed in a news group, and I would like to know the
answer myself. I can think of some hacks, but I was wondering if there
is an official or at least a defacto standard way of doing this.
