1073.0. "ASVFS I/O error, metadata" by MSBCS::REED () Wed Jun 04 1997 09:06

Hi I have an ASE cluster with ADVFS 4.0, and UNIX 4.0B. I just got these
errors in the /var/adm/messages file. The ASVFS fileystem gave me "file not
found" messages when I tried accessing the directory from the server, until I
failed it over to the other member, now it is working
again but I fear the problem will come back again

Here is some of the output from the messages file, any help in explaining the
error would be appreciated. The ADVFS domain is 36Gb in size and makes up
3 12Gb HSZ devices. I did the tag2name command as it says below, and it gives me
a file but what does that mean, is that file corrupt or what.

Initial queries into this indicate it might be a problem with the media, i.e.,
a bad spot on the disk.

I am trying to get more info.
