hi, We are in process of mirroring the OS disk which is basically built on advfs domains. I did a voladvdomencap root_domain and it gave be an error in /sbin/vol-reconfig saying we need to unmount some of the related filesets. I have tried the same with UFS which goes through perfectly fine. Please advice what extra has to be done while mirroring the OS disk which is based on ADVFS domains, Warm regards Sudhir

1027.2 | Use volencap for root/swap encapsulation | NETRIX::"[email protected]" | Steve Hancock | Wed Mar 26 1997 08:40 | 17 |
Sudhir, This is a LSM question, which might be better asked in the AOSG::LSM. That said, the answer is that you should be using volencap for encapsulting root and swap prior to doing a volrootmir. This is true whether you have UFS or AdvFS as your root file system. Regards, Steve Hancock Digital UNIX Kernel Support Atlanta CSC [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] |
