| I've been listening to an advance copy of Yo La Tengo's latest:
"I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One" for the last couple of days.
I'm not familiar with any of their previous albums, so I can't say
whether or not this "sounds like a Yo La Tengo album" but I definitely
can say that it is exceptional.
There are 16 tracks, a couple favorites are "Sugarcube" which contains
the line "sweeter than a drop of blood on a sugarcube", "Shadows"
which is a beautiful song reminiscent of Cowboy Junkies or Mazzy Star,
"Autumn Sweater."
Actually, lots of the songs hint at what may be influences to YLT:
Beatles, SonIC Youth, Cowboy Junkies, Lou Reed, Feelies...
A friend here says this album recently got 4 stars from Rolling Stone...
Supposed to be on the racks April 22.

| My favoriate YLT song is the (slightly unusual for them) pop song
"Upside Down". From your description, I'd say that the new album
isn't too far different than their previous material.
