682.0. "shadow server hung" by CSC32::J_HENSON (Don't get even, get ahead!) Thu Mar 13 1997 17:03
RTR V2.2d, OpenVMS V5.5-2, vax
Chase Manhattan Bank (Dan Delafuente) has just reported a problem with
a shadow server. They have a vax node which operates as a front end
and as a shadow server node. Recently, the shadow server hung up. The
primary server was ok.
The customer has resolved the problem by stopping and restarting the
shadow server, but didn't have to cycle rtr. According to the customer,
he has talked to Jon Lehto regarding this, and Jon asked him to log
a call, which is where I come into the picture.
Also according to the customer, the current thinking on this is that it may
be a configuration issue.
Please advise.

P.S. Jon, I tried to email this to you but am unable to reach node taler.

| Sorry for asking a question of this nature here, but I figure someone
should be able to help.
Is there a problem with node TALER? I've been trying to send email
to taler::lehto, and haven't been able to get a connection.
Thanks,
Jerry
