RTR V3.1B for OpenVMS Release Notes: o Reliable Transaction Router Version 3.1B for OpenVMS is not interoperable with the RTR 3.1B for Unix versions (RTR for Digital UNIX, RTR for SUN and RTR for AIX) released in June 1996. If you require interoperability with these platforms, please contact Digital for updated versions. A customer of ours does require this. What can I tell them? We will shortly announce the release of RTRV3.1C, the main purpose of which is to address the interoperability problems that unfortunately arose during the V3.1B release cycle. The OpenVMS and Windows NT/95 kits are due to go to SSB next week. The Unix versions will follow in mid-to-late February. These kits will be fully interoperable with each other over the TCP/IP protocol. The only outstanding problem using DECnet is the Windows 95/Solaris combination (we are still investigating, but this one may elude us until V3.1D). | |||||
