Note 7372.0 OS/2 Warp on LPX No replies
ECRJ06::MARCIA_L 32 lines 4-MAR-1997 13:19
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi,
I have a customer who is working with a DECpc LPX 566 (811WW).
The video board is a Diamond Viper PCI, and the monitor, a PCXBV-PC.
When he tries to install, from net, the client for OS/2, he gets a
problem at the first input data screen, after reboot. The display
turns to black, as if it was in power saving state. But it seems that
the installation proceeds, because when he press return, it's possible
to hear the Hard Disk working.
Although it is happening, monitor's led does'nt change its color and he
press any key nothing is shown in the screen.
He tried to disable power saving (at the monitor, changed it to off).
When the screen turned to black, he restarted the machine and tried to
use VGA driver. Nothing makes it to work properly.
OS/2 Server V. 4.0
Client: OS/2 Warp 3.0 (full Win OS/2)
Does anybody knows anything about it? Or experienced anything similar
to that? I can post more details if necessary, OK?
Any help will be appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
Marcia
