| I bought the T-kit model 1203 dummy load. Now, what kind of commentary
can one make about a dummy load kit? The instruction manual was very
well written, and the information clearly presented. I had a problem
with a length of brass stripping they supplied. They gave too much,
which meant a loose mounting. I've begun correspondence with TT.
Overall, I'm satisfied. In fact, I'd buy another T-kit. And, I did. See
next reply.

| I also bought the 1209 2 meter to 6 meter transverter. Manual is
excellent. The writer has taken the best of the Heath style and added a
touch of the 90s. This kit is not simple, but someone who has built
things and who is willing to be careful should have no difficulties.
The writer even tells how to use a VOM that cannot support a 1000 mA
reading to read that high by using a 1 ohm resistor and to measure the
voltage instead. The manual also includes information about 6 meter
propagation, antennas, and more.
While counting parts, I could not locate one of the ferrite beads. It
had lodged inside a ferrite core and I managed to destroy the bead
while trying to extricate it. But, all the parts were there.
I plan to begin building this weekend, but it looks like a good kit.
For $95, this is an easy way to use my 2m HT and get another band,
fixed and mobile. The transverter will also work with my 2m ssb and
cw rig. I'll add details over time. (My time is limited, so reports may
take a while.)
