4721.0. "DivideByZero again: Workarounds?" by COL01::SPIEGELBERG (Elmar S. - D1-OSS Cologne) Mon Mar 17 1997 10:03
I searched through this conference and found some hints to
a problem I encountered on my pc at home. Last week I installed
the drivers for Western Digitals Paradise VGA card and my
initial problem went away. (My windows video driver setup was
VGA, no special Paradise setup.)
But from that time on I very often get an error windows coming
up on windows startup, which say: "Divide by zero or OverFlow" and
I'm back at DOS again. Somewhere in this notesfile I found a hint,
that this has to to with the Western Digital chips on the video
card. What I do not understand at the moment: is there a workaround
to this behaviour? Are there any newer drivers available or what else
should I do to circumvent this problem?
