5948.0. "problem with defining decterms for workspaces" by ATZIS1::KARTNER_M (HOUSTON, we have a problem) Wed Mar 26 1997 09:03

    Hi!

    I've got a question concerning DWMOTIF 1.2-4 (on Alpha)

    Looking into the DT.SESSION file,

    the following entry shows a window in all workspaces:

    dtsmcmd -hints "-geometry 80x24+6+538 -state NormalState -workspaces
    \"ws0 ws1 ws2 ws3 \" -cmd \"$
    create/TERMINAL/DETACH/LOGGED_IN/WINDOW_ATTRIBUTES=(X_POSITIO
    N=0) \"" -screen 0 -cmd "$
    create/TERMINAL/DETACH/LOGGED_IN/WINDOW_ATTRIBUTES=(X
    _POSITION=0)"

    the following entry shows a window in the default workspace only:

    dtsmcmd -hints "-geometry 80x24+6+122 -state NormalState -workspaces
    \"ws0 ws1 ws2 ws3 \" -cmd \"$
    create/TERMINAL/DETACH/LOGGED_IN/WINDOW_ATTRIBUTES=(X_POSITIO
    N= 0) \"" -screen 0 -cmd "$
    create/TERMINAL/DETACH/LOGGED_IN/WINDOW_ATTRIBUTES=(
    X_POSITION= 0)"

    The only difference seems to be the " " in the Window attributes.
    There is aproblem with "" int the parameters. It seems that if you
    ommit a parameter (let it plank) it is entered as " " instead of
    "" "" which would be right

    Is this a known BUG ?
    								thanks
    								Michael

I think this is a known bug in the SSB version of V1.2-4 which is fixed in
the ALPMOTF01_U4012 patch kit. The patch kit is available in this
directory:

	BULOVA::DISK$TRANSFER:[DECW$MOTIF_PATCHES.V124.ALPHA]

Hmmm... In that case I guess this must be a new problem.
