Hi folks,
I need help about an ACCVIO in Motif.
My customer works on a DEC3000-400 Alpha, which is a satellite of an
Alphaserver 2100 with OpenVMS Alpha 6.1; recently he has upgraded
Motif from 1.1 to 1.2-3, installing also the patch ALPMOTF07_U3012
(to use Netscape).
Then he has worked on his DEC3000-400, connecting to another Alpha
system with OSF/1 and Motif and working correctly.
Yesterday he has tried to use Motif 1.2-3 from OpenVMS Alpha 6.1,
but without success, caused by an ACCVIO (before he worked correctly
with OpenVMS Alpha 6.1 and Motif 1.1).
Motif doesn't starts, checking from another system connected to the
DEC3000-400 you can see the processes DECW$SERVER and DECW$LOGINOUT
in HIB state.
I haven't found this type of ACCVIO in STARS/Notes.

| Since this is a server problem you should have reported it in
BULOVA::DECWINDOWS instead of here. EDS is going to create a notes file
for DECwindows support questions, so eventually this kind of note
reporting a customer problem would go there.
The server is crashing on a PolyText8 request, so this could be a font
problem. Apart from that as far as I know this isn't a known problem, so I
suggest elevating it as an IPMT case.
