| Buffalo Creek fire shutdown the top of the world trail
accessible thru Deckers/Bridge Crossing. There was
a big sign explaining that noone can enter because of
public safety etc...
Good new is that the rest of the Sprucewood Trail system
is alive and well!

| Is top-of-the-world the one that the rampart poker-run always go upto ?
A long rimtrail plus a valley of the whoops plus "devils slide" all come to
mind but its been 18mos since I been there... Am I close ?

| Top of the World WAS accessible north from Deckers - take the
asphalt/gravel road thru Trumbull - eventully it turns to gravel - this
is called bridge-crossing - the trail head is up the road on the left -
the Rampart trail number escapes me but 675 stands out. It is the
western most trail on the system. Eventually it dumped out near top of
the world campground.
There's a few sections with some real fun woooops - hopefully they
will reopen but I would imagine ALOT of burnt trees will have to
be fallen to make safe...
