As I understand it from a customer, the linking of MFC object code to Oracle run-time libraries is not possible/supported with the version of MFC supported by DIGITAL UNIX, and Micro Focus Ltd. have no plans to port their latest version to DIGITAL UNIX. Is there any work-around that anyone knows of? What can be done to encourage Micro Focus to support DIGITAL UNIX? Any help/advise appreciated.

Could you provide some more details on the version numbers being used, both the version of Micro Focus COBOL and the version of Oracle? Digital currently ships Micro Focus COBOL V4.0 on Digital UNIX and will be field testing Micro Focus COBOL V4.1 on Digital UNIX in the near future. Micro Focus does provide Digital with full support of their product on Digital UNIX. -Joanne | |||||
