Two things: - One of our customers is demanding MF COBOL 4.1.6 or above which seems to be available on other platforms, namely IBM AIX 4.1. - The official MF web site (www.microfocus.com), in the UNIX product matrix, only states DEC OSF/1 3.0 and MicroFocus 3.2B as the versions supported. re: V4.1 on Digital UNIX Micro Focus COBOL V4.1 is being ported to Digital UNIX and will eventually be released. I believe Micro Focus uses IBM AIX as one of their product development platforms and therefore has products released on that platform prior to the port to others. The product manager may be able to help if you need estimates on product release dates on Digital UNIX. re: V3.2 listed for Digital UNIX on the Micro Focus product matrix The Micro Focus product for Digital UNIX is distributed both through Digital and through Micro Focus. For some reason, Micro Focus kept their release at Micro Focus COBOL V3.2 through their distribution, even though the Digital release is Micro Focus COBOL V4.0. The product matrix that they use doesn't list distribution through their OEM's, only the products as they're available from Micro Focus directly. -Joanne | |||||
