| We ran into the same problem here doing a Peoplesoft benchmark. I
found a section in the Microfocus v3.22 release notes (under
'restrictions') that clearly states that compilation under the root
account will not work.
We logged in to another privileged account and 'bingo', it works just
fine (provided your environment variables are set!).
