246.0. "QUEUE_MANAGER hanging system" by CSC32::D_BROWN (Dave Brown CSC-VSG/INTDRV) Thu Mar 06 1997 13:12
I have a customer who is building a new V6.2 VAX system.
Unfortunately, whenever the QUEUE_MANAGER is started the system hangs.
I've not seen a dump yet but it's rumored that the QUEUE_MANAGER takes
out EX locks on SYSUAF and RIGHTSLIST as soon as it starts and does
not release them.
The customer has created a new queue database with no resolution.
The apparantly only questionable thing that I have found so far is that
they copied SYSUAF and RIGHTSLIST over from their V5.5-2 system.
I'm scheduled to get another dump from the customer. Does anyone
have any ideas of what could be wrong here?
Thanks,
Dave
