4961.0. "Exceeded Quota from LTA Creation" by CSC32::L_DEGROFF () Fri May 23 1997 16:06
Customer states that during the LAT startup process on an ALPHA 1000a
5/400 running VMS v6.2 he is getting the error, SYSTEM-F-EXQUOTA from
creating and mapping 56 LTA devices. Says that if he places a pause
between them, the error goes away.
Had the customer increase PQL_MBYTLM in SYSGEN which was set to the
default 1024. Didn't solve the problem. Increased the SYSGEN parameter
PQL_DBYTLM to 150,000 still the same error. Checked the LAT$SYSTARTUP.
COM file to make sure that the LCP SET NODE/STATE=ON command was being
executed before any CREATE PORT or SET PORT commands and it was.
Customer is getting the error after about 40 CREAT PORT commands are
executed, though only about 16 ports actually get created.
Any thoughts?
