| Daniel,
I would believe 'LOGOUT PORT n' on the terminal server should do this.
But if the first VAX 'really' dies, the session should be disconnected
anyway. Maybe the application jsut has some problem ?
Also try the SHOW QUEUE command on the DECserver to see, if there are
any additional host-initiated connects in the queue.

LOGOUT PORT from TSM did not return any error message, but the session
still seemed active.
Cust had hangup enabled on the LTA term cha. Asked him to change also
SYSGEN TTY_DEFCHAR2 cha to add %X4 to enable HANGUP signal as this
overrides the former. This should hangup/disconnect the session when
the system dies.
Cust will try this. If problem still persists, I shall post a reply.

The application sends data directly to the port after allocating the
port. So no queue associated with the port.
Thanks.
Daniel.
