2266.0. "SLS backup running under system account." by NNTPD::"[email protected]" (Guilherme Correa) Tue Jun 03 1997 06:49

When I use the show user sls/node/full to see the backup process ids, I
receive the folowing message:

[CORREA]sh user sls/node/full

%SHOW-I-NOSUCHUSER, no processes found for user SLS

But when use the show user system/node/full dcl command I receive the
following message:

[CORREA]sh user system/node/full
      VAX/VMS User Processes at 3-JUN-1997 08:43:52.19
Total number of users = 1, number of processes = 1

Username Node Process Name PID Terminal
 SYSTEM DJOV01 BATCH_162 20E0079E (batch)

The entry for the backup process is 162 as you can see bellow:

[CORREA]show queue/all sls$djov01
Batch queue SLS$DJOV01, available, on DJOV01::

  Entry Jobname Username Status
  ----- ------- -------- ------
    162 SYSBAK_TOTAL_SEG_TF86_SBK_1
                         SYSTEM Executing
     64 SYSBAK_INC_1_TER_SBK_1
                         SYSTEM Holding until 3-JUN-1997 18:00
     65 SYSBAK_INC_2_TER_SBK_1
                         SYSTEM Holding until 3-JUN-1997 18:00
     74 SYSBAK_TOTAL_TER_TF86_SBK_1
                         SYSTEM Holding until 3-JUN-1997 18:00

I know that backup must run under the sls account, so what can I do to fix
this problem, since that I am having some problems with the backup process.

I remember some problems when you use SYSMAN to start SLS (SYSMAN> do
@sls$startup). If you start SLS with SYSMAN, the SLS processes will
run under the SYSTEM UIC (see note 260).

Under which account/UIC are your SLS processes running (SLS$TAPMGRRQ) ?
