SLS T2.9
Hi
We've installed SLS T2.9 (server flavor) on one cluster, and the SLS
client kit on two other clusters. One cluster uses its cluster alias
ad its nodename when making connections to the database; the other
uses the individual node names. What object does SLS client use to
make connection to the SLS server?
Thanks!

The sls$tapmgrrq process on the client establishes a connection
to the SLS$DB object on the server. Is that what you're asking?
Regarding use of cluster aliases, the only things you have to
watch out for are: (1) If the client wants to connect to a cluster
using the cluser alias, then set PRI to the alias name in the
client's TAPESTART.COM file (2) the server (cluster) must allow
access to the client's node name in the Database Authorization menu.
Troubleshooting problems in this area can be difficult, but there is a
good Stars/Tima article to guide you... "Troubleshooting High
Availability Configuration Problems".
