Hi all, If one does not install the Delta Patch for SLS will SLS fail to work. We have read some info that SLS will fail because of Remote Procedure Calls. Does SLS exclusively use these RPC's. How would one identify if these were being used. Is there anything else in SLS that will fail. Our problem here is that we cannot take down our production systems until the middle of June. Thanks in advance, John Dooley

This sounds like a false rumor. I have no problems reported against SLS or MDMS that would substantiate it. It is my opinion that neither SLS nor MDMS are impacted by the delta-time problem. However, SLS/MDMS relies on numerous underlying mechanisms in VMS and other products. Therefore, we can only state officially that SLS/MDMS doesn't have to be re-installed or re-linked after applying the delta-time eco. Refer to note 2239.3 for our support statement regarding this issue. Marty |
