2242.0. "RMUbackup and COMP???" by MUNICH::REIN (How come holes in SWISS CHEESE??) Wed Apr 16 1997 10:29
Hallo,
At our customer DETEMOBIL they reconfigured their database backup to
pur SLS via RDF.
The first save operation went well, but they used 8 tape cartridges
using SLS. Normal Online save used only 4 cartridges.
I found, that they setup the tk87k with density "comp",
but in the backup command, there is no /media or/dens translation
What we have to do, that RMU/SLS uses "comp"
regards
Volker

| I already mentioned this RMU problem in note 1592 :
I found a workaround for my customer by using "DENSITY := 1" in the SBK
Can SLS engineering please consider making a permanent solution by adding
some checks to SYSBAK.COM ?, something like (I did NOT test this)
$if (DENSITY.eqs."COMP").and.(BACKUP_TYPE.eqs."RMUBACKUP") then DENSITY:=1
