Hi, I have a client system that was recently upgraded to VMS 7.1 and also upgraged there SLS to B2.9-1 Will this work with the server which is at SLS v2.7???? * I cannot upgrage the server as there are too many other clients running to the server and do not want to upgrade them.... * Do I need to have the customer add a SLS server database to support his new version of SLS 2.9??? :/ Deb Archambault

No, the V2.7 server will do. > His backups are currently running ... Can I restore his files if he > is running V2.9 of SLS and I'm running V2.7 ???? Yes, from the client using STORAGE RESTORE/SCREEN and AUTO in the Volume ID field, or use STORAGE REPORT SYSTEM <file-spec> on the client to get the volume and saveset info and STORAGE RESTORE on the server with that volume and saveset. \David |
